NON-COMPETE AGREEMENTS

Often times your employer requires you to sign a non-compete agreement that restricts your ability to work for any of its competitors for a certain geographic area and for a certain length of time. In addition, the agreement may also contain a non-solicitation covenant that prevents you from engaging with and soliciting customers and clients of the prior business for a certain geographic area and for a certain length of time.

The restrictive covenants also mandate which State and which jurisdiction will control the contents of the agreement. Meredith has experience ensuring that you are not unfairly and unlawfully restricted by one of these agreements. Meredith can help you with your options for future employment and whether or not certain clauses are legal or not enforceable.

Please call Meredith to review your non-compete agreement and non-solicitation agreement at (404) 618-3838 or email her at meredith@mcarterlaw.com.
