PREGNANCY DISCRIMINATION

If you are pregnant, you have a right not to be disciplined, demoted or fired because of your pregnancy pursuant to the Pregnancy Discrimination Act.

Additionally, an employer cannot refuse to let you perform certain job duties just because you are pregnant. If you are temporarily unable to perform the major functions of your job, your employer must treat you as a temporarily disabled employee, including providing a reasonable accommodation if needed pursuant to the ADA.

Please call Meredith if you believe you have been discriminated against due to a pregnancy, or terminated because of a pregnancy at (404) 618-3838 or email her at meredith@mcarterlaw.com.
