M. CARTER LAW primarily represents employees who suffer from the following in the workplace: discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, disability discrimination, a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, retaliation, medical leave issues from taking leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and overtime violations in the workplace.
Atlanta employment lawyer Meredith Carter received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and law degree from Cumberland School of Law. Prior to practicing law in Georgia, Meredith represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases and criminal defendants. Once she became admitted in Georgia, her practice has primarily focused on employment discrimination, sexual harassment and business disputes.
Before opening M. CARTER LAW, Meredith had a successful practice with other prominent employment law firms in Atlanta. She has trial, arbitration, and mediation experience. In addition, Meredith helps resolve issues with non-competes, and negotiates severance agreements.
Meredith is a member of the Georgia Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Women in the Profession Section of the Atlanta Bar, and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Georgia Bar.
When Meredith is not fighting for your rights in the workplace, you can find her attending an Auburn football game, or riding on a boat at the lake!
